Marma Kansa Facial Massage
The Marma Kansa Facial Massage is a deeply therapeutic treatment rooted in Ayurveda, the ancient healing system of India. Marma points are vital energy centers throughout the body, located where muscles, bones, ligaments, and other tissues meet. These points are considered seats of prana—the life force that sustains health and vitality. Gentle manipulation of these points through specialized massage techniques, including the use of the Kansa Wand, helps to harmonize the body’s energy flow and encourage healing. Marma therapy sends calming signals to the nervous system, supporting the body’s return to balance and homeostasis.
The Kansa Wand itself is crafted from a sacred alloy of copper and tin (bronze), first developed over 6,000 years ago in India. Renowned for its healing properties, Kansa is believed to be an excellent conductor of electromagnetic energy, helping to balance energy channels and maintain the skin’s natural pH levels. Benefits of the Kansa Wand Facial Massage include:
- Stimulating the cellular intelligence and communication
- Supporting lymphatic drainage and detoxification
- Drawing excess acidity out of the skin, reducing inflammation and breakouts
- Toning facial muscles and softening the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
- Balancing energy, promoting relaxation, and enhancing overall well-being
What to expect during this 60-minute session: Your session begins with a soothing massage of the upper back, neck, shoulders, and face using light, nourishing oils with the Kansa Wand, and warm towels to cleanse and refresh the skin. Essential oils may be incorporated for enhanced therapeutic benefits, tailored to your individual needs. A condensed 30-minute version of this treatment is also available as an add-on to any other service for a quick yet rejuvenating experience.
